SHINE, SHINE, SHINE

This week's photohunt theme is SHINY

I used a different version of this photo in my very first photohunters.

This is in Millenium Park in Chicago. I call it the Kidney Bean- but I believe there is a different name for it.

O.K.- I got off of my duff and looked it up. It is officially called the CLOUD GATE.

And here it is at night reflecting the city skyline.

When you let your own light shine, you unconsciously give others permission to do the same.

Wow, I wouldn't want to walk into that, it has a resemblance of UFO to it.

Cool shots though and very fitting.

Wow - now that looks really cool but quite odd just kind of "plunked" down there in the middle of a city.

Have a great weekend!

I can see why you call it a kidney bean - it most definitely looks like one!

It's very futuristic looking and most definitely shiny!!

I remember that post and I'm glad you put it back up. I can't remember things very long! The shot at night is great. At night it looks like a UFO landed! LOL

Great idea and this is certainly the epitomy of shiny...looks like a bike helmet...maybe that's because I just went biking!!

My boyfriend was telling me about this the last time I was in Chicago! We didn't get to see it though. Maybe on the next trip.

Very cool! Can you tell us something more about why this was constructed? It reminds me of those mirrors at the carnival that make your body parts the wrong size.

I bet you that it's one of the most photographed things or should I say SHINY things in Chicago.
