Autumn Reflections

I can see the tall, majestic trees
swaying in the distance,
their leaves gracefully
falling,
the ground becoming a fusion
of red, orange, yellow, and green.

the allure of the autumn day beckons me
to reflection.....

....yes, the tree will live on,
but the leaves -
while graceful in their descent -
will ultimately be
forgotten…

I took these shots last week during my morning walk - Such a pretty time of year here. It makes even these dreary, drizzly days- such as today- tolerable.

Yeah, I have to agree with you. Autumn is tolerable. Does that sound negative?

Those are beautiful pictures, as are the words! We still have a few pretty trees but we're getting snow tonight here. Knew it was coming but still not ready for it...
You're part of my blog post today, so if you get a chance, stop by and see how!

I look at the multi-colored leaves as a parting gift to us before the drab cold of Winter sets in. The fall leaves warm our spirits.
