On our last day in Alaska we decided to go on a salmon fishing trip.
Following are a few photos of the results.
Bringing the first silver in.
Me, proudly displaying my first catch!
This shot is some of the "loot" at the end of the day.
And this shot is of the same "loot" as it appeared on my doorstep.
Why do I mention this now you ask....well, because I just finished a dinner of our own caught salmon, grilled on cedar planks.
....And you feed him for a lifetime.

Those are whoppers!
Salmon!! Yummy!!
Lovely pictures, as always
Man, I can smell that smoke from here! Givin' me that cold hollow feelin"!
What did you catch 'em on?
WOW! And the proper way to cook on a cedar board and everything!
(Too bad I don't eat salmon, I'd be over!)
It's not relevant to the post, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! And don't feel old! Age is carried inside, not on the ID card!
This salmon tastes so good it's makin' my leg shake!
I once heard of a way to cook carp which involved a cedar plank. Upshot was that you ended up eating the plank!
But I digress . . .
I'll bet with every bite you relived the catching! Sounds delicious.
